Management And Control

Eliminate all infested, damaged, and fallen fruit. Protect healthy fruit buds, about the size of marbles, by wrapping them in well-ventilated paper or plastic bags. Reducing the density of fruit cluster through thinning can also help decrease infestation rates. Apply insecticides like dimethoate, deltamethrin, cypermethrin, or lambda-cyhalothrin at the recommended rates on the label, alternating between insecticides with different modes of action (IRAC).
