E-Specimen is an abbreviation for the Plant Pest and Beneficial Organism Specimen Collection Database System in Malaysia developed by the Plant Biosecurity Division (BBT) Department of Agriculture (DoA). All the information found in this system is from plant pest specimens and natural enemies (MSJ) collected from all over Peninsular Malaysia and stored in the database of the Plant Collection and Repository Section (SKORE) based on the requirements of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs).
Public user doesn’t need approval and requirement for log in. They can see the basic information only.
Officer user from Plant Biosecurity Division can log in using formal Department of Agriculture e-mail. They can see the detail information.
Upgrade the existing plant pest specimen and natural enemies (MSJ) collection management system from MS Access to an online system to make it easier for officials to update and store plant pest specimens and MSJ data more securely.
Facilitating stakeholders, officials and staff of the Department of Agriculture/ Government Agencies as well as the public to search for information on national plant pest specimens and MSJ found in Malaysia.
Strengthen service delivery by delivering information through digital transformation to the DoA in particular and the public in general.

The Plant Biosecurity Division (BBT) as Malaysia's National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) is a reference source for the provision of Technical Document (TD) information and Pest Risk Analysis (PRA).
